Welcome to the new look Syria News Wire. New home, new look.
It’s a big step to change the web address – Saroujah has been my home since 14 February 2005. But everything has to move on. And I’ve switched to WordPress too – it’s much more powerful, and looks a lot better.
Next time you make a comment, it will appear in the sidebar.
And right here on the Syria News Wire, you can see the latest posts from three of the best Syrian writers (in the sidebar) – and up-to-date links to the best Syrian blogs on the internet right now. If you want to understand Syria – this is your starting point.
There will be a few other new things to look out for in the next few weeks.
A series of photo feature posts are on the way – exciting new stories from Damascus. And some more fresh new changes to the site.

The new blog looks great.
One small tip: add a note near the comments box telling people to put an email address in. I forgot, was sent to another window where I was told I should do this, and lost the comment. No big deal for a one-liner, but for a longer comment it would be very annoying. A long comment like this one…
