I don’t often recommend other new Syrian blogs. But this one stands out.
Syrian Foodie in London caught my eye not by his descriptions or even by his photography. But by his bio:
“All my life I wanted to be a chef. As a true Syrian I ended up a surgeon!”
Kano describes the dish of the day and tells you how to make it, before teasing you with some brilliant pictures. Here’s fataya. My mouth is actually now watering. I hate you Kano.
So far, he’s covered fataya and manazeleh bi aswad, plus the story of the shwarma.
It’s a new blog, and I’m always a bit hesitant about talking about new blogs because blogs come and go so fast. But even if he doesn’t keep this one going, he;s given enough to the blogosphere so far to justify this post. I hope he keeps feeding us these amazing dishes.
Go there now, and listen to your stomach rumble. Sah-ha.

Hi Sasa.
Thank you very much for this, really appreciated, and I am really flattered. And thank you everyone who visited in the last couple of days.
I will do my best to keep the blog going and up to a good standard. Food is my passion and I believe Syrian cuisine deserves a dedicated website.
And don’t expect any mercy!!
