Barack Obama has extended one of the Bush era’s most neo-conservative decisions: to impose a massive range of sanctions on Syria.
The sanctions were the pet project of the Cheney-Rumsfeld hawks in 2004. It came a year after the Bush regime started making accusatory noises towards Syria. It all started with the claim that Syria was sending night-vision goggles to the Iraqi army.
48 hours after Jeffrey Feltman’s plane took off from Damascus Airport, Obama sticks the knife in.
And Arabs still have faith in his “change”?
