Nasrallah speech in full

May 25th, 2009 · 1 Comment · Politics

Hasan Nasrallah has been speaking via video-link to celebrate Liberation Day in Lebanon. I covered the whole thing on Twitter (until Twitter kicked me off for writing too many messages).

Here is the replay (it is in reverse order so you will need to read from the bottom up – also, the first few messages never appeared on Twitter):

happy anniversary, and on june 7 we will see your flags raised high and smiles n your face – the biggest anniversary will be when PALESTINE goes back to its owners

and if you think of entering our territory, “i promise you the resistance will destroy your army in south lebanon” (crowd goes wild)

i tell ehud barak: who wants to send me to international tribunal, and to govt of israel which threatens lebanon, we in resistance and side by side with the army, we will be highly prepared in a state of emergency and i promise you, even if one of you thinks of doing something stupid, our response will be huge

i don’t think israel will launch a war in its military maneuvers (scheduled for the end of this month), but it’s essential to be vigilant

don’t stay at home on june 7, you have a responsibility: “go to ballot boxes to save lebanon from the ideology of revenge”

(paying tribute to sacrifices of people living in southern beirut)
