Nasrallah speech

August 15th, 2009 · 9 Comments · Lebanon

Hizbollah’s leader Hasan Nasrallah has given an impassioned speech to huge crowds. It marks the third anniversary of the end of Israel’s 2006 massacre on Lebanon.

The big message was this: if Israel tries something like that again, the response will be even more tough. Attack Beirut and we will attack Tel Aviv, he said.

I didn’t live tweet the speech like normal. iPolitical did an excellent job of that. You can read all of her minute-by-minute updates here. You’ll need to scroll down because the newest tweets are first (the speech ended at 1900 on 14 August).

What would happen to Lebanon if that mad man decides to start a war ?

    I shudder to the thought.

“He still hides in a cave”
That would be wrong my xenophobic friend,he actually lives like everyone else in Lebanon does – the main diff. being that his location is not broadcasted to the entire public due to Israel wanting his head on a mantel.

“What would happent to Lebanon if that mad man decided to start a war”
Never in the history of the Lebanese resistance movement has a war been started by Hezb’Allah – if you listened to any of the speech you would have found his position to be very clear – that he does not want to pursue a war but if Israel attacks Lebanon then Hezb’Allah will not back down.

Instead of falling victim to the Westernized sensation of denouncing what you are completely ignorant of,how about you take the time to educate yourself?

As a Southern Lebanese I have no issue with Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah or Hezb’Allah – they have my full support.

You are right about him not being interested in a war right now. But in the future, when it will suit him, and only him, who knows.

Mr.I, I would suggest you stay away from Western propaganda.
The Israeli soldiers were not kidnapped but even if they were that is not an act of war – if it was what are we to say about the 11,000 Palestinians (women and children included) held captive in Israeli prisons?

You have yet to name a single war they began, and you have yet to source anything you have stated.

Educate yourself, because at the moment you are the only one feigning ignorance.
