Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am an Afghan but my mother is from Halab of Syria,
It is more than 20 years that I am living with my family in Goettingen city of Germany.
It is around one year that I am watching your Drama channel.I am following it from the beginning of Ramadan and enjoying its drama with deep sense and feeling.
I like the three dramas most of all: Asad Waraq, Ale Rai and Babe Hara.
I like to see the beside programs too like Akhbar e Fan and two enjoyable interviews programs with your artist.
I knew them very well and feel like being in Damascus. I visited Damascus in 1985 and met my late aunt there.
I hope to visit there again and enjoy it more.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am part of a team of 40 volunteers that is attempting to turn 09.09.09 into a global charity event in the internet. We are collecting stories from around the world written by normal people about their experiences on that day. The best stories will be published in a book, the proceeds of which will be donated to charity.

We believe that a global diary of this kind can help break down stereotypes about other cultures. A normal daily event in Germany may seem boring to a German, but for someone in India, it is interesting to read a "normal" story like that, which took place somewhere else on the globe.

This project was initiated by a group of students in Germany. We already have had a good amount of media coverage and lots of positive feedback here, where several hundreds of people plan to send in their personal story from 09/09/09.

We would be very thankful if your newspaper on your part of the planet would report about our project. Our idea can only succeed if as many people as possible hear about it and participate AND WE HOPE TO RECEIVE STORIES FROM SYRIA. With your help, the word can be spread around the globe.

Please visit our website www.adayontheplanet.com. It gives detailed information about the project in 8 languages. Of course we are happy to answer any questions you may have and would be thrilled to receive a confirmation email, should you decide to report about it. We can also provide you with photographs for publication.

Thank you for reading our email and many greetings to you from Germany.

Sincerely,
Matthias Kluckert
